Overview
Have A Nug^® is committed to developing a premium greeting card line that upholds our brand’s “always tasteful” policy. While cannabis themes are welcome and encouraged, creators are not limited to cannabis-related content. Submissions may explore a range of themes, provided they reflect creativity, good taste, and broad appeal. Our goal is to provide a platform for artistic expression and connect talented creators with an appreciative, retail-based audience.

Compensation
Have A Nug^® compensates creators as follows:

• $20.00 USD one-time payment for each image that is selected and accepted into our catalog.

• $0.50 USD royalty for every unit sold featuring the accepted artwork. This includes greeting cards and any other items on which the image is used, including but not limited to mugs, posters, gift wrap, or packaging.

• Royalties are paid monthly, with payment details and summaries available through creator accounts.

By submitting content, creators agree to this royalty structure. No additional negotiation is required or expected for future use of accepted artwork on any format.

Content Guidelines
To maintain brand integrity and legal compliance, all content submissions must meet the following standards:

• No depictions of minors or children in any form, context, or style.

• No sexually explicit, pornographic, or graphically suggestive content. Humor or innuendo is acceptable only when subtle, tasteful, and appropriate for public consumption.

• No references to or depictions of hard drugs (e.g., cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine) or related paraphernalia. Cannabis-related content is permitted.

• No imagery or language that promotes violence, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind, including racism, sexism, homophobia, or xenophobia.

• No graphic depictions of injury, gore, or death.

• No political endorsements or messaging related to specific candidates, parties, or controversial political issues.

• No religious proselytizing or content that mocks or disparages any belief system.

• No use of copyrighted characters, logos, brand names, lyrics, or identifiable likenesses without documented proof of usage rights or licensing.

• Submissions must be the creator’s original work, and contributors are solely responsible for ensuring that their work does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

• Submissions should align with the “always tasteful” identity of the Have A Nug^® brand and be appropriate for a diverse, gift-buying audience, including people who may not use cannabis themselves.

Submission Requirements
All submissions must meet the following technical criteria:

• Art files must be submitted in high-resolution JPG, JPEG, or PDF format.

• Each submission must include:

  • The card design front artwork only, with no text elements

  • If applicable, accompanying interior artwork, also with no text

  • The intended card text, either in the email body or attached as a separate image or text file

• Files should be clearly labeled to distinguish versions with and without text.

• Each submission must include the artist’s name, contact information, and any intended notes about design style, humor, or tone.

Rights and Usage
By submitting content, creators grant Have A Nug^® a perpetual, worldwide, exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, modify, adapt, and distribute the artwork on products and marketing materials.
Have A Nug^® reserves the right to edit or adapt artwork and copy for production needs, format consistency, or brand alignment. Whenever possible, we will collaborate with creators to ensure the integrity of the original design is maintained.
Have A Nug^® may use accepted images on multiple product types beyond greeting cards. The standard $0.50 per-unit royalty applies to all formats, and creators acknowledge this rate upon submission.

Acknowledgment and Agreement
Submission of artwork constitutes full agreement to these terms. Creators acknowledge that all accepted submissions are subject to Have A Nug^®’s editorial oversight, payment structure, and licensing terms. Have A Nug^® reserves the right to update these terms at any time, with notice provided to registered contributors.
